🧰How to Use Power-Ups

Snake Overlay turns any webpage into a classic Snake arena. This page is your equip screen between levels: spend in-game points on extra lives and power-ups, then return to the overlay with a stronger loadout.

Power-ups help you adapt to different page layouts — busy pages, tight spaces, and long corridors. Choose the right tool for the next level, equip it here, and it will be ready in-game.

📋Step-by-Step

1. Open Power-Ups from the game

• After a run — or when you are ready to spend points — open Snake Overlay Power-Ups from Addons.
• Select power-ups that match the next level’s layout and difficulty.

2. Review your stats

• Check Current Points and Current Level, plus Your Power-Ups inventory.

3. Buy power-ups

• Extra Life (40 pts) — retry a level with snake length preserved.
• Fireball (20 pts) — clear one blocker (hotkey F in-game).
• Shield (30 pts) — 5 seconds of invincibility (hotkey S).
• Speed Down (25 pts) — half speed for 10 seconds (hotkey D).

4. Using lives

• If you fail a level, spend an extra life to continue.
• Use Life to Retry — replay the same level and keep your score.

5. Return to Snake Overlay

• Click Back to Snake Overlay with Equipped Power-Ups to continue your run with the items you just bought.

💡Quick Tips

• Trigger Speed Down before tricky corners or when the pace ramps up.
• Use Shield on crowded pages with many blockers or tight turns.
• Save Fireball for unavoidable walls or single choke points.
