Tap, click, or press Space to flap through scrolling pipes. Thread the gaps, rack up points, and chase a new best score.
📖How to Play
Sky Hop is a fullscreen reflex arcade game. A small flyer stays on a fixed horizontal line — you only control height. Tap, click, or press Space to flap upward; gravity pulls you down between flaps. Pass through pipe gaps to score, and avoid the pipes and the ground.
🎮Gameplay Mechanics
1. Start
- Tap, click, or press Space from the ready screen to begin.
- The same input flaps during the run.
2. Flap and fall
- Each flap gives a short upward burst.
- Between flaps, gravity pulls the flyer down. Time beats so you enter the next gap at the right height.
3. Pipes
- Green pipe pairs scroll in from the right.
- Fly through the opening in the middle. Touching a pipe ends the run.
4. Ground
- The grassy floor is also lethal. Dip too low and the run is over.
5. Speed
- Every 5 points the pipes move a little faster, up to a maximum scroll speed.
- Later gaps arrive sooner — stay calm and keep the rhythm.
6. Score
- Each pipe pair you pass is worth one point.
- Your best score is saved on this device.
- After a run you can submit the score to the Game Worlds leaderboard.
💡Tips for Success
1. Small flaps beat panic mashing — hover the gap line instead of bouncing wildly.
2. Look one pipe ahead so you start the height change before the gap arrives.
3. When speed ramps up, shorten the time between decisions; do not wait until you are inside the gap.
4. Restart immediately after a crash while the timing is still in your hands.
Can you string a long run of clean gaps and beat your best score?
🧠Design & Strategy
Sky Hop is a one-button rhythm problem disguised as an action game. Height is the only axis you control, so the skill is not aiming — it is predicting where you will be when the next gap arrives. Strong players flap early and small, hovering near the gap line instead of bouncing between ceiling and floor.
Speed increases every five points compress the decision window. Treat that ramp as a metronome: shorter, quieter flaps at higher scroll speeds beat panic mashing. Looking one pipe ahead is the whole game.
