A portrait brick-breaker where orange and blue orbs split your swarm. Catch rewards, clear the green wall, and dodge cement bricks.

📖How to Play

Brick Swarm is a fullscreen portrait brick-breaker. Move the paddle with your mouse, serve with a click or Space, and clear every green brick. Reward orbs fall as you break bricks — catch them on the paddle or they do nothing. Orange orbs split a ball on impact. Blue orbs (rare) split every live ball when you catch them. Cement bricks cannot be destroyed.

If the last ball drops below the paddle, the run is over.

🎮Gameplay Mechanics

1. Serve and Steer

  • Click the board or press Space to serve from the ready screen.
  • Move the mouse left and right to slide the paddle.
  • Edge hits change the bounce angle — use that to reach corners.

2. Clear Green Bricks

  • Bounce balls into the green wall to chip it down.
  • Every remaining green brick is shown in the HUD.
  • Clear the field to win the round.

3. Reward Orbs

  • Orange orbs split the ball that hits them into three.
  • Blue orbs only fire after you catch them — then every ball on the field splits into three.
  • Missed orbs vanish. Catch them on the paddle.

4. Cement

  • Gray cement bricks never break and never drop rewards.
  • Bank around them instead of grinding into them.

5. Controls

  • Click or Space: serve from the ready screen. Space also restarts after a win or loss.
  • Esc: pause and resume.
  • R: restart the current layout.
  • N: go to the next campaign level.
  • M: mute or unmute.

💡Tips for Success

1. Keep the paddle near center so you can reach both sides when the swarm grows.

2. Catch orange early to multiply coverage, but watch every last ball.

3. Bank off side walls to hit bricks tucked behind cement.

4. After a drop, restart immediately — Brick Swarm is built for quick retries.

Can you grow a swarm, keep the last ball alive, and wipe the green wall?

🧠Design & Strategy

Brick Swarm turns breakout into a swarm-management problem. The paddle still aims, but orange and blue orbs multiply the field: catch them or they are wasted. Cement bricks force banks instead of brute force. The skill is keeping one last ball alive while the swarm grows faster than you can track.

Portrait framing packs a dense brick mass above a long fall zone, so reward orbs have time to drop — and time for you to miss them.
