Duo Puzzle

Balance Ember and Frost on the grid — equal counts, no triples, respect = and ≠ clues.

Choose difficulty

All boards are 6×6 — harder modes start with fewer givens and more = / ≠ clues.

How to play

Two symbols. Balanced rows and columns.

Fill every cell with Ember or Frost. Each row and column must have the same number of each symbol. Never place three identical symbols in a row horizontally or vertically. Edge marks matter: = means same, means different.

  • Tap to cycle: empty → empty.
  • Locked cells are givens and can’t be changed.
  • Violations highlight in red — including broken = / ≠ clues.

Balance Ember and Frost on a 6×6 grid. Equal counts in every row and column, no three-in-a-row, and honor = / ≠ neighbor clues.

📖How to Play

Duo Puzzle is a two-symbol logic grid. Fill every cell with Ember (●) or Frost (▲).

Each row and each column must contain the same number of each symbol. You may never place three identical symbols in a straight line horizontally or vertically. Some neighboring cells show = (must match) or ≠ (must differ). Some cells start filled as givens.

Tap empty cells to cycle empty → Ember → Frost → empty.

🎮Gameplay Mechanics

1. Equal Counts

  • On a 6×6 board, every row and column needs exactly three Ember and three Frost.

2. No Triples

  • Never allow ●●● or ▲▲▲ in a line — horizontally or vertically.

3. Relationship Clues

  • = between neighbors means both cells share the same symbol.
  • ≠ means the two cells must be different symbols.

4. Givens

  • Pre-filled cells are locked and cannot be changed.
  • Use them with the edge clues to deduce the rest.

5. Win Condition

  • The board is full, balanced, free of triples, and every = / ≠ clue is satisfied.

💡Tips for Success

1. Finish Near-Full Rows

  • A row with five filled cells often forces the last symbol by balance.

2. Block Triple Threats

  • If two matching symbols already sit together, the cells on both sides cannot match them.

3. Read the Edges

  • A = clue next to a given immediately fills (or constrains) its neighbor.

4. Use Check

  • Highlight conflicts anytime a placement feels risky.
