📖How to Play

Character Chase is a snake-like chase arena where you steer a chaser to collect animated characters bouncing around the screen. Every catch links a new character to your chain and earns ten points — but hit a wall or your own tail and the run ends instantly.

You have 40 seconds to catch every character on screen. Clear them all to complete the level and advance through ten increasingly hectic stages.

🎮Gameplay Mechanics

1. Steer the Chaser

• Use arrow keys to steer the chaser around the arena.
• The chaser moves continuously in the direction you choose.
• Plan your route before committing — reversing course takes space.

2. Collect Characters

• Animated characters bounce around the play area.
• Guide the chaser into a character to catch it.
• Each catch links the character to the end of your chain and adds ten points.

3. Avoid Collisions

• Do not hit the edges of the screen — that ends the game immediately.
• Do not run into your own character chain — your growing tail is a hazard.
• Tighter turns become harder as your chain grows longer.

5. Level Progression

• Ten levels in total, each adding five more characters to chase.
• Use Add Characters after a clear to advance to the next level.
• Restart to replay the current level, or visit Power-Ups to refresh your roster.

💡Tips for Success

1. Circle Wide Early

• Keep your path spacious before the chain gets long and limits your turns.

2. Cut Off Bouncing Targets

• Predict where a character will bounce next and intercept its path.

3. Watch Your Tail

• Glance at your chain length before every sharp turn — self-collisions end runs instantly.

4. Prioritize Stragglers

• Leave hard-to-reach characters for last only if you have time to spare.

5. Refresh Characters Between Levels

• New characters bounce differently — rotating your roster keeps each chase fresh.
